Easy Homemade Whip Cream
This recipe is one that I've been using whenever I need whipped cream, and have no time to go to the store. Originally, I found a recipe online, but I modified it since I have made it so many times.
Ingredients
- 1 pint of heavy whipping cream: not the cooking kind!
- 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, I usually go for more
- 2-3 tablespoons of powdered sugar, I eyeball this step
- a whisk or electic whisk
Directions
- Pour in however much whipping cream into a bowl. Make sure it can withstand electric whisks.
- Whisk with a tool until you get a thick consistency. Don't wait until it's completely fluffy- we don't want your whip cream to turn into butter.
- Once you have reached that thick consistency, add in your vanilla extract and the powdered sugar.
- Continue to whisk until you get soft peaks, and when it starts to become like whipped cream.
- You can either have it right away, or keep in the fridge to have later. I find it's best to have it after a day or two.
